To start off with, this is my second pair of circle lenses from the Princess Mimi range, with the first being the Sesame Gray, which I absolutely adore! ♥♥♥ I have worn these lenses about a month now. I DO NOT wear circle lenses one a daily basis (I normally just stick with my glasses or pre-scripted contact lenses) & I have worn these lenses around 6-8hrs per wear.

Color:
Black limbal ring with dark brown and a reddish tinge in the inner circle.

Comfort:
Perfectly comfortable =) Best range from GEO in terms of comfort. I did wear them one night for clubbing from 8pm to 4am-ish (that's around 8hrs, 2 hrs past the recommended 6 hrs of wearing circle lenses) and my eyes were still fine. Just a bit tired but no redness or itchiness like that.

Enlargement:
Definitely huge enlargement! And obvious too!

Overall:
I was hesitant about purchasing such dark brown lenses but I loved the comfort of the Geo Sesame Greys I was keen to try the same line again. I'm happy with these lenses. Paired with falsies, they give it that dolly appearance. They're not extremely vibrant but natural enough to wear without freaking anyone out.


I like the packaging it comes in. It's safer and sturdier than just receiving the vials.
I have not yet opened the Geo Lattes but I am keen to try them ~





I've already a number of photos of myself wearing these lenses in past posts but I took some today as well. These are straight off the camera, no editing. I would have really like to though...that dirty fringe of mine T__T
This one was taken in natural lighting. Wore no falsies but they helped give me the dolly look for today, combined with my makeup ^_^

Back to Uni! =D

Yesterday was the first day back of uni and my first lecture was at 5pm lol
I realised I had enrolled into a second year subject for my sub-major and I had no clue as to what the lecturer was talking about because he kept referring back to "foundations units that you did last year" D= I did no foundation units last year for Ent. Industries!! D= So I promptly unenrolled from that unit as soon as got home lol

After the lecture I went out for a night stroll with my DSLR and took a few snaps. Didn't take that many good ones because night photography proved more difficult than I expected! Lots of camera shake and blurs because I didn't have a tripod or I moved the camera too early, even when I had it rested on a smooth surface ... Fail, much? =__="

Here are the snaps. They're not edited but I took them in JPG rather than RAW (Still trying to work that out!!)

I really like this kind of composition where the "lines" draws to the centre. Just wish the metal bar was out of the way.

My thoughts is that the only pretty side of the Brisbane river is the casino area where the lights change different colours onto the river.

Last Friday night I went out to my bf's friend's birthday. I've only met the guy once so I was bit surprised he invited me. I thought we were going to out clubbing but it was just a chill lounge bar kind of environment.

I'm wearing Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown!!! Wasn't sure how I'd feel about these because I just adore my Sesame Grays but they're pretty good!

Ps. I've debating on a new blogspot name ! I got rid of "vk-yume" because that was when I was into jrock and vk stood for "visual kei". Now I'm no longer into that and trying to find something that suits me now! FOr now, I've chosen "pearls-and-bows" but I'll probably change it soon. I wanted to use part of my name in the URL but it wouldn't let me T^T

[Review] GEO Princess Mimi Sesame Gray

Pretty sure everyone already knows the famous Tsubasa Masuwaka designed these lenses so I'm not going to bother with the whole who she is blah blah blah ~~~ Because by NOW everyone (and I mean people who wear circle lenses) should know == Ok, onto review!

Color:
These lenses are truly amazing!!! I've only owned one pair of gray lenses being the Angel Edge series and I thought they were alright but this one...this one just PAWNs that one!!! The color is an intense shimmery gray and when worn they can be seen from a distance~

Comfort:
At first, I thought it put a strain on my eyes to be wearing 15mm lenses because up until now I've always worn 14mm. I know, only 1mm difference, shouldn't matter right? But the sizing of the lenses can affect the comfort! These Princess Mimi lenses are very comfortable! They don't irritate my eyes but the very first time I wore them, my eyes did keep watering slightly but after a few wears, it's ok now! Around the 5-6 hr mark they do get slightly dry ! A sign to take them out!

Enlargement:
Definitely huge enlargement!

Overall:
I am LOVING these lenses so much but must be worn with makeup! These are NOT a natural set of lenses.
I'd most likely re-purchase these again because they're so amazing and I'd been looking for a gray lenses that stands out like this. They pop out with such intensity <3 No one has said to me "Oh your eyes are so creepy!" yet but I'm pretty sure it creeps some people out xD I have already posted photos of myself with the Sesame Gray lenses so some photos are a repost ~

As pictured in the stock image, the enlargement is quite visible!

Happpy Belated New Year for 2012!

Another year has gone past and 2012 is going to be another exciting year, hopefully!

Quick summary of 2011 for me~!
1. Completed my first year of uni and realized how difficult it actually is compared to TAFE lol
2. Said goodbye to being a teenager and turned 20 years old D=
3. Lost a number of friends but gained a few new ones
4. Met a cute guy, who is now my boyfriend =3
5. Still working at the same work place for 3 years now...now onto the 4th year T__T

Mmmm...to be honest I really hated last year. Uni especially! There was a number of reasons:
I felt so dumb because I didn't understand certain things. For example, one of the subjects required us to really look deep into subjects and I remember one of the very first assignments was to write a short essay on who or what inspired and/or motivated us to study the creative industry course. I wrote Lucy Liu as my inspiration but when I discussed it with my tutor, she kept pressing me to delve deeper into the matter "WHY Lucy Liu? Why not another actor?" etc etc Turns out all I needed to do was find a reference that backed up what I was trying to say. And I realised that is how all assignments are in uni == I'm such a dumbass~


Plus I felt out of my depth...there were so many other students that were so much better at doing short films and KNEW how to operate a camera with the apertures and exposure values, even NOW I'm still trying to get my head around it. And also I felt really alone because I didn't know how to make friends >< But once I gained some friends classes became more enjoyable ~ Also I'm quite sad that I lost some dear friends. Some people I don't know why they decided to block me on Facebook but it's alright I suppose. We've drifted too far apart to even keep a conversation going for long so why bother continue to be friends? Some people I understand but one of my goals for this year is to move on from those people that were holding me back and meet new people ~ Actually my goals for 2012 are the pretty much the same every year LOL - study harder~!!!
I'm going to make more effort to be in the uni library to study diligently! And get more than just a 'Pass' mark !

So for this year new year's eve I was my bf and we just watched the fireworks at midnight at South Bank. As usual it was packed and the fireworks in Brisbane were...meh...seriously! Compared to like what I see on television for HK or Taiwan it's just bleh =_= I don't even know why I bother sometimes but I'm just happy I started the new year with my bf =)
