[R E V I E W] Shu Uemura Tint in Gelato in CR04 Spiced Orange

Hello! Hello!

So recently there has been an increase of multipurpose beauty products on the market. Particularly, with products designed to used on both cheeks as a blush and on the lips as a gloss or lipstick (depending on the finish of the product).

Shu Uemura released a collection of lip products as part of the Mika for Shu 2014 collaboration. Mika Ninagawa also designed the bottles of the cleansing oils, primers, eyeshadows, eyelashes and nail stickers as limited editions but these Tint in Gelatos are part of the permanent range and are available all year round! How pretty are these bottles! I want to collect them all =)

Today I will be reviewing Shu Uemura's Tint Gelato in CR04 Spiced Orange

 Impressions:
CR04 is a really pretty coral-peach colour. I initially chose this colour because I did not have any orange or coral shades in my current collection. The texture is quite creamy and velvety when applied.

When I used it on my cheeks as a blush it applied beautifully! Blending was really easy but just got to be quick. As it is creamy, the colour lasted all day for me, especially when loose powder was applied. When I didn't have any powder on, I noticed the colour was less vibrant.

When I first used the wand directly on my lips, it applied very well - velvety and creamy. At first I really liked the finish and how it looked on my lips. One swipe was all I needed to achieve full opaque! There's NO sticky feel afterwards, which is a massive bonus!!

The wand itself is slanted and has the typical "fluffy" applicator (Really bad at describing, I'm sorry). The applicator does have a hole in it but I don't think it makes that much of a difference in applying.

HOWEVER, within minutes, I noticed a problem. Despite my lips being fairly smooth, the product began to sink into the lines of my lips =( Not exactly a pretty look...And the texture is not ideal for continuous layers because it will just sit on your lips.

But I found a way to overcome that issue! I found that by applying with my fingers and give a more "stained" appearance was better and less heavy on my lips. This method stayed on my lips for about 3-4 hours without eating or drinking.

☼ Advantages:
- Multifuctional product ~ can be used on cheek and lip
- Very pigmented
- Easy to blend
- Wide variety of colours from pinks to reds to oranges

☼ Cons:
- Can be drying on lips because of the cream texture
- Is a bit more on the pricey end compared to other brands

☼ Would I repurchase?
In short, no. Shu Uemura is a fantastic brand, particularly with their cleansing oils and other beauty products but this product is not really worth it. You don't need this in your collection but it is a nice addition. Especially with the colour range you can use as a blush.

[REVIEW] Boohoo.com Haul

Hey guys!

So I did my very first order through boohoo.com and would like to make a review of it! =)

About boohoo.com
Launched in 2006, Boohoo is a UK online fashion retailer that offers FREE shipping to Australia (only) and 10% student discount on your first order (when you link your student email to the account).

Shipping
According to Boohoo's website, it will take 5-8 business days to deliver the items to your house. It was 6 business days when I received my parcel. I ordered on Thursday 11th of June and arrived Friday 21st of June.

Payment
Boohoo offers a variety of payment options - Paypal, Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro and Electron.

My Rating: 5/5
  • Out of the three items I ordered this is the best one I'm most happiest with. It fits perfectly! It's warm! It's great for the casual day to uni classes or just lounging around at home.

BUY AGAIN? Yes. Also available in black with a red 'A'.

Arina Lace Sweetheart Skater Dress (Size: 10)

My Rating: 2/5
  • On the model, it looks great BUT when I received it I have to admit I was disappointed. The material is quite flimsy and the lacey neckline looks like it can be broken easily through the wash. It's a poor fit on my body because this may be my fault I chose a size 10 instead of an 8. I could get away with wearing a jacket over the top of the dress.

BUY AGAIN? No.

Sacha Long Sleeve V Neck Skater Dress (Size: 10)

My Rating: 3/5
  • You need boobs for this dress. That is all. KIDDING. But no really...a dress like this is best if you've got a bust. I'm kind of flat in the chest area so the dress isn't as flattering as the model but it DOES fit. HOWEVER, it was slightly difficult to get into the dress as the material is not stretchy but once it's on, it fine. I'm quite surprised a size 10 dress would be a tight fit. I am okay with this item and I'll probably keep it.
BUY AGAIN? No.

Overal Experience?

  • Pretty good experience with Boohoo.com but I personally won't shop there again. I always love to explore new online stores and styles but it is good store for what it is advertising!!

[REVIEW] theDollyEye Ariale in Grey

Hello!

So I have another circle lenses review! This time it is Ariale lenses from The Dolly Eye brand! This is my first time to try a different brand from GEO. I saw a similar one in the GEO catalogue however it didn't come prescripted so I opted for The Dolly Eye.

Please note I have worn these lenses for about 2-3 weeks before reviewing.

[REVIEW] Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

I first learned about this hair care product through another blogger and was immediately interested in it. My hair has been through so much damage (dyeing, blow drying, straightening & curling blah so much ==) so I had been on the lookout for a haircare product.

So...What is it?
According to the website, it states: "Our Deep Repair Masque is a hair reconstructor that will penetrate and rebuild damaged hair for improved shine and elasticity.
- Enriched with Macadamia & Argan oils
- Deep nourishment & long-lasting conditioning
- Ultra-conditioning hair reconstruction.

It's a 250ml/8.5 fl oz tub. The product itself is thick and rich and looks kind of gross to me T__T

How to Use?
Liberally comb through clean, wet hair and allow up to seven (7) minutes of penetration before rinsing.

I use my hands/fingers to scoop out the product then apply to my hair. Applying is pretty easy and isn't messy.
The tricky thing about the instructions it doesn't say whether to wash out with warm or cold water...so I've been using cold water to rinse it, since I heard cold water can help make your hair less frizzy. After I wash out, my hair is SUPERRR SMOOTH & SILKY!

This part really confused me as I was washing the product out. I could FEEL instantly how smooth my hair was and kept washing & washing, thinking the product was still in my hair but it wasn't! My hair was silky and felt so GOOD to touch (that sounds weird...), I couldn't stop touching my hair after I did the treatment~

Negatives About the Product

  • The Price T_T

I had to buy this for around $40AUD and that is expensive ><

Final Verdict
I love how amazing and lovely my hair feels after using it but I'm not going to repurchase. I'm certain there are other haircare products that can do the same thing for a lower price.

[REVIEW] GEO Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown

GEO Princess Mimi Brown

Base Curve: 8.6mm
Diameter: 15mm
Water Content: 38%
Life Span : 1 year disposal
Manufacturer/Origin: South Korea
Purchased from: Paffu Shop on Fb

To start off with, this is my second pair of circle lenses from the Princess Mimi range, with the first being the Sesame Gray, which I absolutely adore! ♥♥♥ I have worn these lenses about a month now. I DO NOT wear circle lenses one a daily basis (I normally just stick with my glasses or pre-scripted contact lenses) & I have worn these lenses around 6-8hrs per wear.

Color:
Black limbal ring with dark brown and a reddish tinge in the inner circle.

Comfort:
Perfectly comfortable =) Best range from GEO in terms of comfort. I did wear them one night for clubbing from 8pm to 4am-ish (that's around 8hrs, 2 hrs past the recommended 6 hrs of wearing circle lenses) and my eyes were still fine. Just a bit tired but no redness or itchiness like that.

Enlargement:
Definitely huge enlargement! And obvious too!

Overall:
I was hesitant about purchasing such dark brown lenses but I loved the comfort of the Geo Sesame Greys I was keen to try the same line again. I'm happy with these lenses. Paired with falsies, they give it that dolly appearance. They're not extremely vibrant but natural enough to wear without freaking anyone out.

I like the packaging it comes in. It's safer and sturdier than just receiving the vials.
I have not yet opened the Geo Lattes but I am keen to try them ~

I've already a number of photos of myself wearing these lenses in past posts but I took some today as well. These are straight off the camera, no editing. I would have really like to though...that dirty fringe of mine T__T
This one was taken in natural lighting. Wore no falsies but they helped give me the dolly look for today, combined with my makeup ^_^
